OUR DESIGN BUILD PROCESS
STEP 1
CONTACT US
When you're ready to get started, we have multiple ways that you can contact us. You can fill out our form by clicking the button below, by phone or text at 334-310-8455. Once you reach us, you’ll get to speak with our one of our coordinators who will schedule you for your free design consultation at a time and date that is convenient for you.
STEP 2
FREE DESIGN CONSULTATION
Once it's time for your free design consultation, we meet and discuss partnering with you to make your home more functional and beautiful for your family. The purpose of this meeting is to learn what your wants and needs are for your remodel. Your designer will share more about Alabama Construction Pros and explain our design-build-remodel process in more detail and answer your questions. If we seem like a good fit for your remodeling project, we’ll move on to the design process.
STEP 3
MEASURING
The design process begins with one of our designers meeting with you and discussing vision. They will measure the space of your project, take pictures, video and create an “as-built” drawing. In around two weeks, the designer will create two 3D renderings of your completed design to present in our next meeting together.
STEP 4
IDEAS MEETING
After our design team creates a plan and design suit to fit your family's lifestyle, we will meet with you again to get your feedback on the 3D rendering that we create. This will be your opportunity to say "go" or "no" to what we've proposed. Your participation in this part of the process is paramount to us creating a space that will serve your family for years to come.
STEP 5
SELECTIONS MEETING
Now that you've seen the 3D renderings and agreed to the design and plan, it’s time to select the actual materials for your space! In this meeting, you and your designer will meet at a showroom, where you’ll choose the perfect accessories, materials, colors, and styles to complete the look and feel of your home remodeling project.
STEP 6
PRODUCTION WALK
After choosing your materials, it's time to meet the person who's responsible for bringing your design to life, your project manager! Your project manager will be your primary contact throughout the remodel, and will manage the production schedule and subcontractors working in your home. In this particular meeting, they will walk through the site of the project and take notes for the subs. They’ll also forecast any issues that may arise that could affect your project timeline in the future.
STEP 7
PLAN REVIEW
In this meeting, we will discuss the final design changes, construction drawings and notes from the project manager. The construction drawings will contain the details from your projects. We will also go over pricing with you to layout how the design elements you chose impact the cost of the project. Once all questions are addressed, a construction start date will be selected and paperwork signed.
STEP 8
CONSTRUCTION
It’s finally time to turn your remodeling dream into a reality! Remodels usually take between one to four months, depending upon the location of the remodel and design. You will receive a construction calendar and weekly updates throughout the project . Your project manager will handle everything else (scheduling, material needs, trades) for you. If you have any questions or concerns throughout this stage, your PM will either be on-site or a quick phone call away.
STEP 9
WELCOME TO YOUR NEW SPACE!
Your dream is now real and it's time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of all the meetings and planning. At this stage, we hope we have earned your trust by giving you a quality remodel and great customer service.
